Full Day Jewish Heritage



The tour will begin in the Galata district of Istanbul where we will visit the only Ashkenazi Synagogue in Istanbul built by Austrian Jews in 1900. We will then continue our tour and visit the Neve Shalom Synagogue, built by two Turkish-Jewish architects in 1930. This will be followed by a visit to the Jewish Museum of Turkey and a trip to the most important Jewish neighborhood of Istanbul, Balat.

After Lunch, we will visit the oldest synagogue in Istanbul, the Ahrida. We will end the tour by taking a trip to Ortaköy, where we will explore old Jewish houses and streets as well as visit the Etz Ahayim Synagogue.

Full Day Christian Heritage Tour



We will begin our tour by visiting Haghia Sophia, a former Christian partriarchal basilica after which it became an imperial mosque and is now a museum. It is most well known for its massive dome and is said to have impacted and changed the history of architechture significantly. Later, we will explore the Ecumenial Partiarchate of Constantinople, one of the fourteen autocephalous churches as well as the Bulgarian Iron Church and the Little Haghia Sophia Church.

After Lunch, we will be visiting the Galata Tower, one of Istanbul's hallmarks 
built by the Genoese in 1348. We will continue our journey as we head toward the world-famous Istiklal Street and visit the Saint Antoine Catholic Church.
